House Of Decks

Terms of use

The rules for playing on House Of Decks, holding an account and using the chat. There are few of them, and nearly all come down to one: play fair and treat the people at your table well.

Acceptance

By using the site - playing, creating an account or writing in the chat - you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site. They complement the legal notice and the privacy policy.

Who can use it

You can play without an account. Creating one requires being at least 14, the age from which Spanish law lets you consent to the processing of your own data.

Your account

You are responsible for what is done with your account and for keeping your password safe. If you think someone has got into it, change it and write to the contact address.

Everyone at the table sees your player name. It may not be offensive or discriminatory, or pass you off as another person or as the site itself. A name like that may be changed or removed without notice.

You can delete your account whenever you like from the account page. Deletion is final and takes your coins and cosmetics with it.

Fair play

Cheating is not allowed: using programs or scripts that play for you or read information the table does not show you, deliberately exploiting a bug instead of reporting it, or teaming up with other players at a public table against everyone else.

Nor is flooding the server, opening rooms in bulk, or trying to get into other people's accounts.

In public games, walking out halfway leaves everyone else with a broken table, so it counts as an abandon: the first is only a warning, and each one after that keeps you out of public games for longer. Private rooms carry no penalty.

The chat and what you write

What you write in the chat, in game clues and in your name is your responsibility. Insults, harassment, threats, posting other people's personal details, spam and anything unlawful are not allowed.

The chat is not moderated in real time. If someone behaves badly, write to the contact address with the room code and the approximate time.

Coins, chips and cosmetics

Coins are earned by playing and are only good for cosmetics in the shop. They have no monetary value: they cannot be bought with money, exchanged for money or for anything outside the site, or transferred to another account.

The chips in Poker, Blackjack and any other game are only the game's scoreboard and represent no value. House Of Decks is not a gambling site.

Shop prices, rewards and the cosmetics on offer may change. If an account is deleted or suspended, its coins and cosmetics are lost.

The service

The site is offered free of charge and as it is. Games live in the server's memory while they last, so a game in progress can be lost if the server restarts. Games, rules and features may be added, changed or withdrawn.

Suspension

Breaking these terms can mean losing access to public games, having your name changed, or having your account suspended or deleted, depending on how serious it is. If you think it was a mistake, write to the contact address.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when what the site does changes. The date of the latest version appears at the end of this page, and significant changes are also noted in the changelog.
