Bluffing at court: claim to be who you are not, catch the liars and be the last one with influence.
Intriga is the house bluffing game: 2 to 6 players, at its best with 4 or 5. The more people, the more eyes to catch you lying... and the more people lying too.
A game takes five to ten minutes, and someone drops out every few turns, so it is easy to play several in a row.
The table marks the actions that would be a bluff with your cards, counts the characters already revealed and, whenever someone claims a character, puts the "Liar!", block and "Let it pass" buttons right in front of you.
Nothing: Intriga has no room options. It is always played with all five characters, three copies of each.
Your two cards sit at the bottom with their portrait and what they do. On your turn pick an action from the grid: those that would be a bluff with your cards carry a "bluff" tag, and those you cannot afford are greyed out with the reason.
When someone else plays, you have six seconds to challenge or block. If you do not care, press "Let it pass" and the game moves on sooner.
The turn clock is twenty-five seconds. If it runs out, the table takes income for you (or makes the coup if it is compulsory).
